The Renwood Grandpare is probably one of the most amazing $30 bottles of wine we’ve found.
And guess what?
It’s a Zinfandel… no, this isn’t our April fools day show and this is not a drill.
Suzanne talks with Danny Mantle of Renwood Winery and they taste the 2003 Grandmere and Grandpere Zinfandels made from a blend of 100+ year-old Zinfandel vines.
VINEYARDS
Grandpère® Zinfandel and Grandmère® Zinfandel come from a vineyard situated behind Renwood Winery in Plymouth, California. This 20 acres vineyard is home to the oldest clone of Zinfandel in America. Believed to be 130 years old. This vineyard is planted on its own rootstock and is classically head pruned. Tight berry clusters, deep concentrated flavors, this vineyard produces award winning Zinfandels.
